Sant’Antioco

Also known as ‘Little Sardinia’, Isola di Sant Antioco.
Sant’ Antioco is a peninsula located on the Southwest coast of Sardinia. The peninsula is connected to the mainland by bridge. Crystal clear sea water, the most pristine beaches and ruins dating back to pre-Roman times. This makes Sant’Antioco a hidden gem undiscovered by mass tourism.

Sant’Antioco is located at the far South-West of Sardinia.  This is where Camping Tonnara can be found with direct access to the sea and faces the wonderful Cala Sapone inlet. A beautiful sandy beach with beautiful rock formations and natural pools.

Camping Tonnara has a restaurant, bar and swimming pool.

History

A unique place where you can breathe the magic of history: from Nuraghic culture, the Phoenicians and the Romans, each has left its legacy in the monuments, traditions and cuisine.

The island has been inhabited since prehistoric times and Sant ‘Antioco has played an important role in the trade routes of the Phoenicians. The viaducts and temples were built by the Romans after they occupied the island in 238 BC.

You will be immersed in a wonder of a wild, varied and surprising nature, in the hot southern sun, where every season has it’s haunting beauty.
